Dr. H.J. Arnikar is Professor Emeritus in Chemistry in the University of Poona with a wide research experience. After his Ph.D. from the Banaras Hindu University, he worked in the College de France, Paris, in the laboratories of Professor Frederic Joliot-Curie N.L. and obtained his D.Sc. Later, he worked as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar with Professor John E. Willard in the University of Wisconsin, Madison (Wis). He had served as an international consultant to the UNESCO in the Pilot Project for the Teaching of Chemistry in S E Asia. Bangkok. He is also the author of "Isotopes in the Atomic Age ". He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London in 1988.
