PREFACE My students have been my greatest inspiration! I started this journey 17 years ago and still continue to have the same passion as my first book. It’s purely because of the engagement with my students and readers whenever I meet them offline as well as online. The warmth when I meet many of them, and the way the book and website has changed their lives is a testimony as how well ‘Orthopaedic Principles’ has fared and been accepted by the students and consultants alike. In this edition, we have tried to cover more topics, techniques, evidence and recent advances in Orthopaedic Surgery. As in the past, I look forward to comments and suggestions. Hitesh Gopalan U
